Support State Sovereignty for VA!
by Buddha on Feb.28, 2009, under Uncategorized
Huzzah!
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That the Congress of the United States be urged to honor state sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment of the Constitution of the United States. The Commonwealth of Virginia hereby claims sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government by the Constitution of the United States.
You can read the legislation here:

This is part of a wider on-going states rights movement (reasserting the Tenth Amendment); I believe VA is around the 20th or so state to introduce such legislation.

Hmm, not change I can believe in. Why, if we are trying to make ourselves less dependent on foreign oil, does this make any sense?
